INTRODUCTION
Maritime law is a complex and fascinating specialised area of law. It brings together many aspects of law (e.g. contract, tort, bailment, agency) together with a plethora of international conventions attempting to harmonise and regulate the legal arrangements between states in order to facilitate trade and reduce conflict.
EuroMaTech’s Maritime Law & Shipping Contracts training course will provide participants with a sound understanding of the various aspects of Maritime Law, from carriage of goods by sea to international law and law of the sea. There will be an emphasis on the main aspects of Maritime Law, as it relates to the role of Ports and Pilotage in the maritime trade, and its obligations and liabilities under Maritime Law.

Day 2: Carriage of Goods by Sea & Bills of Lading
- Shipping Documents in International Trade
- Terms of the carriage contract;
- Bill of Lading and common clauses & charter party bills of lading;
- Tender of shipping documents under C.I.F. and F.O.B contracts;
- Cargo Claims Bills of lading and other shipping documents;
- Hague and Hague-Visby Rules;
- The Rotterdam Rules.
- Letters of indemnity ,for cargo damage and Pre and Post dating, delivery without presentation of the Bill of Lading
Day 3: Ports, Pilotage and Limitation of Liability in Maritime Law
