INTRODUCTION
The programme has been designed to successfully orientate non-technical professionals in the oil and gas field by providing hands on expertise on the entire oil and gas supply chain. The tour includes site visits to on-shore oil producing fields through to refineries and finally storage tank facilities. The workshop will include a visit to the world’s most sophisticated energy exhibit at the Wiess Energy Hall where one can explore the entire process of energy development, from how oil and natural gas were formed, to the ways various types of energy are used. Delegates can explore, through dynamic interactive learning methods including computer graphics, touch screens, holographic video displays, and virtual reality, the application of scientific concepts and advanced technology in the oil and gas industry.
This highly participative programme will help non-specialists and new-comers in the oil and gas field, to better appreciate the energy industry’s life-cycle from the time oil was discovered and used commercially to its future, in our energy intensive society. The programme seeks to provide you with the knowledge that will enable a better appreciation of the workings of this industry and lead to an enhancement of your work performance.
