INTRODUCTION
This programme will provide an overview of main aspects of pipeline protection and safety management. The emphasis in the programme will be on corrosion and erosion protection methods applicable to aboveground, underground and subsea pipelines.
The selected topics will cover the most efficient maintenance and repair technologies for pipelines in various applications.
The programme will also deal with pipeline safety management, which will include discussions on pipeline testing, inspection, failures root cause analysis and prevention methodologies. It will also present various practical problems and case studies from the existing engineering practice.
