INTRODUCTION
Power systems have traditionally been operated based on a background of previously performed studies and on the experience of dispatch operators. Such practice usually leads to conservative limits and often cannot comply with market requirements to fully exploit power systems equipment plant and facilities. The aim of this programme is to make delegates aware of the need to maximise power equipment utilisation.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY
The goals of each participant are discussed to ensure their needs are fulfilled, as far as possible. Questions are encouraged throughout, particularly at the daily wrap up sessions. This provides opportunities for participants to discuss specific issues and, if possible, find appropriate solutions. Where appropriate video materials used to illustrate particular conditions.
TRAINING SUMMARY
The programme will concentrate on the skills required for power system management and to promote a good understanding of the operating principles and techniques for stable power system. It will also focus on the recognition of electrical faults and the appropriate corrective actions and the maintenance of HV and LV systems.
