INTRODUCTION

This training session is aimed at the Suppliers, Purchasing, Production, Distribution and Customers who want to finally understand what really causes the supply chain breakdowns and how to permanently fix them. Virtually every supply chain breaks down periodically. However, if we can determine the causes in advance we can reduce or eliminate many of these to create a smoother and more efficient supply chain. A more efficient and effective supply chain permanently reduces costs, reduces lead time, reduces the “hidden” costs of operating and increases the bottom line.

This is a very “hands-on” programme. After establishing the parameters of what works and doesn’t, every delegate will participate (plays a role) in “The Supply Chain Game”. This will be followed by documenting Value Streams and specific Processes. A simulation exercise, problem solving tools, PDCA model and SCM resource guide are included in the material.
